I. Introduction

Copper Rod Cold Rolling Mill is used for copper rod cold rolling. Copper rod can be cold-rolled from 17mm to 8mm to improve the quality of the copper rod, facilitate the drawing process and improve the final drawing yield.

It is also possible to cold-roll the copper rod from 35mm to 20-25mm to improve the quality. The 20-25mm copper rod can be used as the raw material of the conform machine to produce copper profiles, or it can also be used in contact busbar drawing machine to produce copper alloy contact busbar for high-speed railway.

II. Equipment major components and description

1) Rolling mill

The copper rod is rolled into the desired diameter by repeated rollings. It can be equipped with twin or triple rolling system.

Each roller is driven by a individual motor, controlled by frequency converter or servo speed controller, while the motor power is determined by the rolling compression ratio.

The PLC controls the operation of the entire production line and the operating parameters can show and be adjusted on the touch screen.
